From cleanup to complete restoration

One team. One call. Complete recovery.

At LBA Recovery Services, our work does not have to end when the cleanup does. After a biohazard, crime scene, unattended death, or other traumatic event, affected areas may require removal of flooring, drywall, cabinetry, or other building materials. Once remediation is complete, we can coordinate the reconstruction needed to restore the property.

Who we are

A local crew that finishes the job, not a call centre with a franchise map.

LBA Recovery Services is a Los Angeles biohazard remediation company. We handle crime scenes, trauma scenes, unattended deaths, and the kind of contamination most contractors are neither trained nor licensed to touch. When construction is required afterwards, we coordinate the reconstruction through our affiliated California licensed general contractor.

Our technicians are trained to the OSHA bloodborne pathogen standard and work in full PPE under containment. But the part that matters most to the person calling is simpler: you tell us the address. From that point, we handle the cleanup, the documentation, the disposal, and the insurance coordination for you.

Start to finish

From sealed containment to a finished room.

Every stage is photographed, cleanup through rebuild. The same set goes to you and to your insurer.

A technician in a sealed white protective coverall and full-face respirator at a zippered plastic containment barrier in a residential hallway, with carpet lifted to bare subfloor and ducting running along the wall.
Stage 1

Containment established

Sealed entry, negative air, full PPE. Nothing crosses out of the affected area.

A stripped bedroom mid-remediation: a yellow negative-air machine with ducting to a sealed window, drywall cut away above the floor exposing studs, red regulated-waste containers, and bare plywood subfloor.
Stage 2

Removal & decontamination

Porous material cut out to clean substrate. Waste containered and manifested.

The same bedroom fully restored: fresh white walls, new baseboard, new pale wood flooring, daylight through the window, the room completely empty and clean.
Stage 3

Rebuilt and released

Drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and paint — by our affiliated licensed general contractor, scoped and scheduled by us.

Our standard of protection

Three things we will not compromise on.

01

24/7 rapid response

A person answers at any hour, and the crew that answers is the crew that comes — typically on scene within 60 minutes, depending on location and availability.

02

Discreet and respectful

Unmarked vehicles on request, plain clothing on arrival, nothing staged outside, and nothing said to neighbours, tenants, or building staff.

03

Verified decontamination

Surfaces are tested, not eyeballed. Written scope, photo documentation, waste manifests, and clearance results — the file an insurer settles on.

What we do

Tell us what happened in your own words. We already know the term for it.

Unattended death remediation

Someone died at home and wasn't found for days or weeks

Decomposition reaches subfloor, drywall, and HVAC. We remove what cannot be saved, treat what can, and clear the odour at its source rather than masking it.

Crime scene cleanup

There was a shooting or a stabbing in this room

We work after law enforcement releases the scene. Blood, tissue, and spatter are removed under containment, and every affected surface is decontaminated to a verified standard.

Trauma & suicide scene cleanup

My family member took their own life here

You do not need to be present, or to see the room again. We handle the scene start to finish and tell you when it is done.

Biohazard & bloodborne pathogen removal

There's blood or bodily fluid and I don't know if it's safe

Treated as infectious under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030. Full PPE, containment, EPA-registered disinfection, and regulated medical waste disposal.

Hoarding & sharps remediation

A tenant left needles, waste, and hoarded material behind

Sharps recovered into approved containers, waste sorted and manifested, structure cleaned and deodorised for turnover.

Category 3 water & sewage decontamination

Sewage came up through the floor

Black water carries the same pathogen risk as a biohazard scene. Extraction, removal of porous material, antimicrobial treatment, and structural drying.

Fire & smoke damage restoration

There was a fire and the smell is in everything

Soot and char removal, structural cleaning, odour treatment at the source, and replacement of material that cannot be saved.

Water & flood damage restoration

A pipe burst and the floors and walls are soaked

Extraction, moisture mapping, structural drying, and antimicrobial treatment before mould establishes.

Not on this list? Still probably us. Call 833-LBA-9112 and describe it.

How it works

Five steps, and only the first one is yours.

You call

Tell us the address and what you are looking at. No forms, no triage queue — we confirm who is coming and when.

We arrive

Often within 60 minutes across LA metro, depending on location and availability. The lead technician walks the scene and confirms scope with you before anything starts.

We clean

Containment, removal, decontamination, and odour treatment at the source. You do not need to be there.

We restore

We coordinate the reconstruction through our affiliated California licensed general contractor: drywall, flooring, cabinetry, trim, paint. No contractor for you to find.

We close the file

The property is handed back finished and habitable, and where coverage applies the documented claim goes to your insurer with our invoice attached.

Who rolls out

  • Lead technician Scene assessment, scope, and chain of documentation.
  • Remediation techs Removal and decontamination under full PPE.
  • Claims contact Opens the insurance file while the crew is still on site.

What is on the truck

  • Negative-air machines & HEPA filtration
  • Containment barrier & decontamination chamber
  • EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectants
  • ATP surface verification swabs
  • Ozone & hydroxyl odour treatment
  • DOT-approved regulated medical waste containers
  • Full-face respirators & Level B/C PPE
  • Sharps recovery & approved sharps containers
Who we serve

Families, property owners, and the agencies that refer them.

Families

You are not the person who cleans. We deal with the scene, the disposal, and the paperwork, and work with whoever the family puts in front of us.

Landlords & property managers

Turnaround dates with the scope, documentation that holds up in a deposit dispute, and crews that do not announce themselves to your other tenants.

Businesses & commercial property

Hotels, offices, retail, industrial sites, and vehicles — outside trading hours when that is what keeps the doors open.

Police, coroner & victim services referrals

We stage until the scene is released and coordinate handover directly. One contact, one file.

A technician in a sealed protective coverall and respirator adjusting a HEPA negative-air machine on bare subfloor, with a sealed and lit containment doorway behind.
Discretion

Nobody on your street needs to know why we were there.

  • Unmarked vehicles available on request — nothing on the street names the service.
  • Crews arrive in plain clothing and suit up inside containment, out of view — no signage, no branded equipment on the driveway or in the hallway.
  • We speak to neighbours, tenants, and building staff only if you ask us to.
Insurance & billing

We work directly with your insurer wherever coverage applies.

Most policies cover this work
Most homeowners, renters, and commercial policies cover biohazard and trauma remediation. We open the claim, document the scene to the standard adjusters require, and bill your insurer directly wherever coverage applies. Deductibles, limits, and exclusions are set by your policy, and we tell you what we are seeing as we see it.
You get the paperwork either way
Written scope, photo documentation, waste manifests, and verification results — the file that settles a claim, satisfies a coroner's office, and protects a landlord in a later dispute.
If coverage is limited or absent, you hear it first
If there is no policy, or the insurer limits or declines the claim, you get the number in writing before any work begins. No crew starts on a scene the person paying has not agreed to.

Questions

What people ask us at three in the morning.

Do I have to be there?

No. We can work from a key, a lockbox, a building manager, or a family representative. Many callers never re-enter the room, and that is completely normal.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the size of the affected area and how far contamination has travelled into the structure. You get a written scope and number before we start, and where a policy covers the work we bill your insurer directly. Deductibles and limits still apply, so we confirm coverage before the crew begins.

Will the neighbours know?

Not from us. Unmarked vehicles on request, plain clothing on arrival, nothing staged outside, and no scene discussed with anyone who is not authorised.

Can't I just clean it myself?

Blood and bodily fluid are treated as infectious material, and household cleaners do not decontaminate porous surfaces. Undocumented cleanup can also void an insurance claim and leave a landlord exposed. And it is not something a family should have to do.

Police are still here. When can you come?

Call now regardless. We coordinate with law enforcement and the coroner's office and stage until the scene is released, so the crew is at the door the moment it clears.

Can you get rid of the smell?

Yes, by removing the source rather than covering it. Odour after a death is contamination in subfloor, drywall, insulation, and ductwork. Fogging alone comes back within days.

How fast can the property be turned over?

Most residential scenes clear in one to three days, depending on how far contamination reached. Landlords and property managers get a turnaround date with the scope, documented to the standard an insurer and a future tenant dispute both require.

After the cleanup, do I need a contractor to repair the damage?

Not one you have to go and find. Remediation almost always means removing flooring, drywall, cabinetry, or other building material, and most cleanup companies stop there and hand you a referral list. We coordinate the reconstruction instead, through our affiliated California licensed general contractor — drywall, flooring, painting, cabinetry, trim, and full interior reconstruction.

Can the reconstruction be handled on the same insurance claim?

That is how we scope it: remediation and reconstruction documented together and submitted to your insurer as one coordinated file. Your insurer decides how the claim is ultimately structured and covered, but one scope from one team avoids two contractors disagreeing over what caused which damage.

Do you work commercial and rental property?

Yes — apartment buildings, single-room occupancy, hotels, offices, retail, industrial sites, and vehicles. Property managers and owners are a large part of what we do.
